Hopkins served 14 years as the Senior Associate Pastor of St. Mark’s UMC in El Paso, Texas, Before that, she was Director of United Campus Ministry University of Texas at El Paso. She is a proud retired Army Chaplain (Major) having served 14 months in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
